Ingredients
Scale:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Chopped fresh parsley
Lemon wedges (optional)
Instructions
Begin by preparing the honey garlic marinade. In a medium bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, thyme, basil, and black pepper. Whisk together until smooth.
Place the chicken breasts in a shallow dish. Pour half of the marinade over the chicken, ensuring each piece is thoroughly coated. Reserve the remaining marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Remove the chicken from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes.
In a large oven-safe skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts, cooking them for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Brush with reserved marinade while baking.
Once cooked, remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for a few minutes.
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
